Getting Involved in the Faculty of Engineering
Waterloo Engineering Society (EngSoc)
The Waterloo Engineering Society is like a student council that organizes events, manages an endowment fund, and provides a voice for students at Waterloo. They also provide a variety of support programs for students including resumé critiques, exam banks, workshops, and more!
Student Design Teams
Student design teams are groups you can join to work on large-scale projects and compete in inter-university competitions. Joining these teams is great for making connections and gaining hands-on experience.
EngiQueers
EngiQueers is a drop-in, anonymous chapter of EngiQueers Canada, focused on connecting LGBTQ+ students in engineering and providing them with a place they can feel at home and accepted.
Women in Engineering (WiE)
Women in Engineering (WiE) at the University of Waterloo exists to support current female engineers and university students, while encouraging the next generation of women to pursue careers in engineering. They provide programs, resources, and networking opportunities for women in engineering.
